FAQ - HOw We Do Business
What is NOT included in the ticket price?
Paintballs, food and drink are NOT included in the cost of the Paintball X tickets. When you book a paintballing party you will be asked to confirm each person’s first 100 paintballs for £9.99(1) per person, this way you will have 100 paintballs to start your day.
Can I drink alcohol at the centre?
We don't permit any alcohol consumption on site. Any players found to be under the influence will be excluded from the games without refund and asked to leave the centre for their own safety.
Can my group play paintball mid-week?
At most PaintballX centres you can, provided that the minimum spend has been met. If the minimum spending requirement has not been made, unfortunately we aren’t able to open a centre mid-week, which you will be notified of at the time of your enquiry. However an alternative venue or date will always be offered for you.
How many people do I need to make a booking?
There is no minimum or maximum group size requirement – you can play paintball with any amount of people or individually if you prefer. Your group will be mixed with other players to make up teams for the day but private games can be arranged for larger groups of 40+ individuals. Please be aware that to open a centre, we may require a minimum spend for the group of players you wish to book. Please enquire for specific requirements for each centre.
What does a Paintball X ticket include?
- Equipment hire for the day, including: full head helmet, overalls with padded collar, padded body armour, the latest semi automatic paintball gun and unlimited gas propellant refills.
How do I make a booking?
How much do paintballs cost?
Paintball prices at our centres start from £6.99 per 100 when bought by the box (2000 balls) or £7.99 per 100 when purchased in bulk of 1000 paintballs or £9.99 per 100 when purchased in smaller amounts.
How far ahead do I need to book?
To avoid disappointment it's best to book at least two weeks in advance as bookings are subject to availability. Your chosen centre and date may not always be available but you will be offered a list of alternatives to choose from.
Can I pay for my booking on the day?
No, unfortunately not. Every PaintballX centre has a limited capacity and player numbers need to be confirmed prior to the game day in order to organise equipment, catering arrangements, teams and the marshalling staff.
Is there food and drink available at the centre?
Almost every centre has an onsite shop where you can purchase a selection of refreshments and snacks.
Am I allowed to bring my own equipment?
Players can bring certain items of their own to our centres, but it is always up to the Centre Manager whether or not you can use it. You can bring your own goggles but only if they have been manufactured specifically for paintball games and have not been altered in any way. Players are unable to bring their own paintball gun to the centre unless a private game has been arranged and the gun can operate from the gas canisters provided by the paintballing centre. The use is solely at the discretion of the Centre Manager, and all paintball guns are subject to a chronograph test before use. We do not allow players to bring their own gas or bottles on site for health and safety reasons.
What happens if it rains?
Paintball games go ahead regardless of any inclement weather conditions (except in very extreme circumstances, in which case you will be notified). The games take place outdoors but there are sheltered seating areas in the base camp. In wet weather players may also bring waterproof clothing to wear under their paintball overalls.
Do I have to fill out a registration form?
Every customer is required to fill out a registration form before they can play paintball at our centres. All players under the age of 16 are required to have a Parental Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian; we suggest that these forms are sent out with your invitations.
What should I bring with me?
The centre I want to visit is closed/hasn't opened yet, what should I do?
We will always offer you the closest possible alternative venues. The locations of paintball centres are subject to change for reasons out of our control however PaintballX undertakes to maintain a minimum of 10 paintball venues.
What is the recommended footwear for paintballing?
We strongly recommend that players wear sturdy walking boots with ankle support and a deep tread rubber sole, as it can get muddy and slippery out in the game zones.
Are Paintball X tickets refundable?
